The labia is one of the most under-served of the female erogenous zones. The vagina receives the most attention, followed by the clitoris. Leaping straight for the clitoris or the vagina can be too rushed for many women. The labia holds the key to arousal. The labia surrounds both the clitoris and the opening to the vagina. Full of delicious nerve endings the labia is responsible for starting the arousal process.

As far as orgasm is concerned, the clitoris is queen. After all, it holds the most nerve endings than any other part and is extremely sensitive to touch and just about any other type of stimulation. This brings us back to the labia. The labia surrounds all of the most sensitive areas, the clitoris and opening of the vagina. The labia majora are the outer folds of the vulva. The labia minora are the inner lips of the vulva. Thin ribbon of tissue that folds over to protect the vagina, urethra, and clitoris. The labia minora are highly sensitive to touch and pressure.

The labia holds the key to "getting aroused". Once aroused, the clitoris and vagina take over, but in the beginning, the labia is what gets arousal going.

For some women when the clitoris is too sensitive to touch, or when a woman is aroused and the clitoris is too sensitive, the labia is the place to go.

So why is it that sex toy manufacturers ignore this all-important erogenous zone. We see hundreds of new sex toys each year and almost all focus on the same two areas, the vagina (first and foremost) and the clitoris (as a distant second). Perhaps the labia is assumed to be a part of the clitoris. No matter what the reason, the Labia is ignored, showing a lack of understanding into the female body.
