It's 2011 and futuristic sex isn't what it used to be: you can't join the mile-high club in the back seat of a flying car, there are no orbiting hotels for zero-G sex, or personal lovebots programmed for your satisfaction... but, of all of these, Fun Factory's Cobra Libre comes close to the latter. It's an amazingly solid and well-designed product that dares to offer a unique combination of erotic elements -- and largely succeeds in its promise. A must for connoisseurs that, properly enjoyed, will easily repay its cost in no time.

Other reviews will rave about the Cobra Libre's industrial design -- it has apparently won awards -- and even a practical, function-over-style guy like myself will agree it looks cool. But how well does it work?

The Libre is essentially the combination of a short, mouth-like silicone sleeve and a waterproof vibrator. The quality of the silicone, sleekness of design, and the realisitic (but not *too* realistic) shape of the "mouth" actually make the opening inviting -- not unsettling, like on most other "oral" sleeves.

The vibrator uses a waterproof touch switch to turn the unit on & off and and up / down pair to control the intensity. These can take some getting used to, esp. when swapping from one position to the next. With two internal motors, the vibration is deep and powerful, and can cycle through an effective pre-programmed sequence.

Together, the two functions of the Libre are an extremely potent combination. Before firing it up for the first time, I found myself wishing for a deeper sleeve -- but the forward-thinkers at Fun Factory were way ahead of me. By keeping the cavity short & mouth-like, sensation is focused on the most sensitive part of the penis (and makes for easy cleaning). The upper part of the silicone sleeve is naturally soft & flexible, and allows the user to squeeze it for additional manual stimulation. With a squirt of lube and the vibe in action, the unit also adds another pleasing dimension to self-pleasure: the sounds it makes while in action are surprisngly erotic.

But it's in the water that the Cobra Libre really shines, with a (long-lasting) built-in battery and inductive charger to keep the unit perfectly sealed (not just "water-resistant," like many cheaper toys). And it unexpectedly floats. In a warm tub filled to just the right level, the Cobra Libre is perfectly positioned for pleasure, and it's powerful vibration creates a rippled standing wave in the water that's fascinating to watch.

It's also the Libre's versatility that set it apart from other men's toys. Turn it around or upside down; lay back, hands-free, or massage the silicone sleeve; sit forward on the curved shape for external vibration all up & down your shaft -- it's all good. If sexual pleasure is an important part of your life (or your male partners), the Cobra Libre is an excellent investment. Highly recommended.
