Using Lube in the Hot Tub

Dear Ann,
I bought one of your waterproof vibrators and I love using it in the hot tub. The only problem is that the water washes away my lube (though it works great in the bedroom) and using my toy starts to feel uncomfortable. Any suggestions?
 

Dear Reader,

Until recently, your only options were water or oil-based lubes. Water-based lubes are perfect for most purposes: They easily wash out of the body, work well with condoms, and feel pretty natural. However, they don't last forever and, as you noticed, they don't stay put during underwater play. Oil-based lubricants have limited appeal, since they destroy latex condoms and stay in your body long enough to increase your chances of yeast and other vaginal infections. They're okay for men's creams, but we don't recommend them for penetration. Your best option?

Check out Pink, a new silicone-based lube. It's as slick as water-based lubricant, but it stays put in water. Or try Liquid Silk, a primarily water-based lube with just a touch of silicone, combining the best of both worlds.
